FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I pay?

Payment is either prior to or at the time of service. We accept credit and debit cards, cash and bank transfer. VetPay is available (fees apply).

What if my pet needs surgery?

We prioritise the well-being and safety of your pet and doing surgical procedures that require a general anaesthetic in the home would be unsafe compared to in a veterinary clinic. If one of the pets in our care requires surgery we will refer you to your preferred vet hospital or recommend one that we feel will best meet your needs.

Does Edna’s Vet offer all the services available in a regular vet clinic?

No. For surgical procedures including dentistry, X-Rays or other advanced imaging and for sick animals that require intravenous fluids or oxygenation, we will refer you to your preferred B&M (Brick and mortar) hospital. If you do not have a relationship already with a local vet clinic we can help choose one that we feel will best meet your needs.

Can I claim my bill on pet insurance?

In most cases you are able to claim your mobile vet bills on your pet insurance as you would normally, however this depends on your policy. We can provide case notes and itemised invoices for insurance purposes.

Are you open 24/7?

No. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. We can sometimes arrange house-calls in the evenings and on weekends if available (surcharge applies).
